"He Brought Me Out" was one of over 1,500 hymns written by Henry Jeffreys Zelley, a Methodist minister in New Jersey. Henry Lake Gilmour, who wrote the music, was an Irishman who came to America as a teenager.
This is one of three videos with a "hazy' look to them. We discovered after recording them that one of the children had been playing with the camera and left fingerprints on the lens! Also, my brother Martin, playing the piano and harmonica, had three harmonicas laying on the piano. He picked up the wrong one a couple of times and realized he was playing in the wrong key.
