"Home of the Soul" was written in 1912 by James Rowe. Rowe wrote thousands of hymns, but only a few are still sung today, including "Love Lifted Me," "I Choose Jesus," and "If I Could Hear My Mother Pray Again." The music was composed by Samuel W. Beazley, another prolific hymn-writer who is best remembered for this one song.
