Hymn with Autoharp
"Where We'll Never Grow Old"

African-American hymn-writer James Cleveland Moore (1865-1949), wrote most of his over 1000 gospel songs between the years 1895 and 1905. This one was written a little later, in 1914.

I'm playing solo autoharp on this one. In the instrumental after the first verse, you can see how playing melody on the autoharp requires more chord changes than the rhythm accompaniment. If you are playing any other instrument, you can ignore the extra chords. The sheet music (below) includes the autoharp melody chords.

We'd like to include a variety of examples of how each song here can be performed, so please send us a video of your interpretation of this great old gospel number and we'll share it here.
